Letter from President David

We've achieved a lot this year, but there's much more planned. And we need your support. Our club is looking for new members and "club friends" from all backgrounds and skills, who are keen to tackle worthwhile projects.
Would you like to join some projects? We describe a few below. Just contact us: click here.  Or if you have an issue  we could help with, please let us know.
Greening our local environment

“Greening” our community and recycling are key issues for our Club. Our 40-year partnership with the Moonee Valley City Council continues, planting trees and shrubs on National Tree Day.  We also partner with local groups who take time to improve the natural environment.
Western Emergency Relief Network

The Western Emergency Relief Networks provides repurposed household goods for disadvantaged families in our local area, as recommended by Welfare Agencies.  It's run solely run by volunteers and we help with the  management and funding.
International Projects
With Rotary Clubs established in 220 countries, we are ideally placed
to identify the areas of greatest need, and the most effective ways to act. We will continue our support for the rural Siem Reap Province in Cambodia, with an emphasis on improving health and education. Rotary and our club have supported our newest neighbour Timor Leste since its inception, and we continue to back projects around Balibo.
We also continue to help global programs to eradicate Malaria and Polio.  And one of the highlights of the year will be to help a 12-year-old boy from PNG to receive life changing facial surgery at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
