Tony and Marg have just returned from a sensational month overseas taking in Abu Dhabi, Portugal south to north and a final week in Madrid.
Their stay in Abu Dhabi coincided with a stupendous cloudburst delivering as much rain as normal in a year or more, flooding streets and stranding cars on highways. Undeterred they took in the huge and beautiful Grand Mosque and even more stunning Royal Palace, before heading for Lisbon and a "back roads tour" to Porto taking in many historic small towns. In Madrid their arrival coincided with the 200th anniversary of the Madrid Police, involving mighty displays of mounted and foot police in all their many specialties.
