Tony has researched the Cronulla riots extensively this year. He published a 3 part series of 12,000 words in January and last month a further two-part series of 7000 words. This new research was based on a book on the riots , "The inside story" by Carl Scully, Labor's NSW Police Minister at the time, and Mark Goodwin, Assistant Police Commisison whose 2000-strong police force dealt with the rioters for weeks during December that year. Tony has interviewed the authors and will do the Melbourne launch of this Connor Court book in February.
